The Western Michigan Broncos took a big step forward from 2013 to 2014 — increasing their win total from just one win to eight and making a bowl game appearance — but they’re simply not going to be able to compete with one of the top four or five teams in the country.
Western Michigan played two power conference opponents last season. They lost by nine on the road to a pretty bad Purdue team in Week 1 and then lost by 18 to a so-so Virginia Tech team in Week 5.
This nominal road game should have plenty of Michigan State football fans in attendance, and the final score could get ugly by the end.
Predicted Record: 1-0
Next: vs. Oregon Ducks
