College Football Top 25 Week 6: Utah Cracks the Top Five
By Matt Snyder
After an impressive 4-0 start to the season, the Utah Utes have found themselves climbing all the way up to No. 5 in the latest Detroit Jock City college football Top 25 poll. The Pac-12 road will be tough down the stretch, but could Utah be a surprise inclusion to the College Football Playoff? It certainly seems possible.
The Ohio State Buckeyes were able to hold on to their No. 1 ranking after surviving a scare from Indiana, but the voters weren’t quite as kind to Michigan State who fell from No. 2 to No. 4 after an all-too-close win over Purdue.
Elsewhere in the Big Ten, the Northwestern Wildcats and Michigan Wolverines both won their games, setting up one of this weekend’s signature games when No. 12 Northwestern travels to the Big House to take on No. 18 Michigan. It’s the only game on this week’s college football slate featuring two top-20 teams.
