Detroit Lions Inactives: Johnson, Quin, Ngata, Ola Good to Go Versus 49ers
By Matt Snyder
Detroit Lions players Calvin Johnson, Glover Quin, Haloti Ngata, and Michael Ola are all listed as active for Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Several key Detroit Lions players were limited in practice this week leading up to Sunday’s matchup with the San Francisco 49ers, but when the inactives list was released earlier today, all were listed among the active players.
Glover Quin missed practice entirely on Wednesday and Thursday after suffering a concussion in last week’s game, but was cleared for limited activity on Friday. He has been activated for today’s game, so the Lions medical staff feels he can contribute this week.
Offensive linemen Larry Warford (quad) and Michael Ola (knee) were limited in practice each day this week, but they have also been cleared to play against San Francisco in the Lions’ final home game of the season.
Defensive linemen Haloti Ngata (neck) and Caraun Reid (ankle) also were limited in their participation on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, but both are listed as active for today’s game.

And finally, Calvin Johnson has been cleared to play after being limited all week in practice. There’s been much speculation about whether or not he’ll return to Detroit next season or if the team will try to trade him, but he’s still one of the best receivers in the league and is certainly an impact player when healthy.

The Lions’ list of inactive players for today’s game is:
Bill Bentley, DB
Jermelle Cudjo, DT
Corey Fuller, WR
Gabe Ikard, C
Corey Robinson, OT
George Winn, RB
Gabe Wright, DT
A win against the 49ers would bring the Lions’ final home record for 2015 to an even 4-4. Not how anyone hoped the season would go, but at least they’ve been playing relatively well of late.
