Number 1. Milan Lucic – Left Wing, 28 years old

Steven Stamkos was going to be number one until he decided to ruin it and re-signed in Tampa Bay, making Lucic the new number one.

I know, Lucic is a dirty player. I’ve called him numerous names on my personal twitter during games the Red Wings played against him.

But he is the exact type of player the Red Wings need. A guy who fans and players hate unless he’s on their team.

Lucic is a big physical forward and when healthy is a 20-goal scorer that the Red Wings need. Lucic can be not just a net front presence for this team, but he can be someone who stands up to the opposing teams when someone takes a run at Dylan Larkin, Tomas Tatar etc.

This is a guy who can be a fan favorite immediately for the Red Wings. He can score, he can disrupt the other team, and he can stand up for his teammates.

Lucic is a player the Red Wings really need to target. Do you agree with list, or are there other names you’d like to see the Red Wings target?
