The Michigan football team takes on Michigan State on Saturday. Here’s how you can find the in-state rivalry game on TV or watch online.

This year’s Michigan State versus Michigan football game doesn’t appear to be as good of a matchup on paper as it did before the season began, but funny things can happen in rivalry games.

The Wolverines are hoping that this year’s ‘funny thing’ doesn’t happen at their expense again this year. Last year’s ending was one of the most memorable in the rivalry’s history (if not all of college football history) when a botched punt on the game’s final play led to miraculous Spartan victory.

The Wolverines (and their fans) would like nothing more than to wash the taste of that heartbreaking defeat out of their mouths with a thrashing of Michigan State this season. The Spartans are playing with nothing to lose, however, which is a potentially dangerous fact for the road favorites.

It will be interesting to see if the East Lansing crowd is filled with boisterous Spartan fans or if Michigan State’s down season will cause Spartan Stadium to be populated with Michigan fans who were able to secure tickets on the secondary market.

Michigan has only played one road game this season — the 78-0 thrashing at hapless Rutgers — so crowd hostility could play a factor if the Wolverines aren’t prepared for that type of environment.
