Mutual Interest, but Likely Long Shots

Tedarrell Slaton (Guard/Nose tackle, East Team #77) is a 6’5″, 360 pound guard on most recruiting sites, but his strong interest to play nose tackle in college has split his college options. Michigan, Clemson, Ole Miss, and Miami like him at guard, while Florida and Kentucky are willing to play him at nose tackle. Florida leads his “Crystal Ball” writer predictions at 247sports.

Austin Jackson (Offensive Tackle, West Team #77) is a USC legacy and seems likely to end up there, but Michigan is making a late push after missing out on other top offensive line targets. If they miss out on Filiaga today, expect them to turn up the heat on Jackson.

Oliver Martin (Wide receiver, West Team #8) with only one wide receiver spot rumored remaining and a higher target on the board (Nico Collins), Michigan has backed off their recruitment of Martin and it has opened up the door for other schools like Iowa, Notre Dame, and Michigan State.

Players Announcing at the Game

As mentioned earlier, Chuck Filiaga will be the name for Michigan fans to watch, but Michigan could possibly have a hat on the table for three other players announcing today. Eno Benjamin (Running back, West Team #25) is an Arizona State lean, while Darnay Holmes (Cornerback, West Team #5) and Bubba Bolden (Safety, West Team #28) are likely deciding between USC and Ohio State.

There are three other players announcing today that don’t have interest in Michigan. Foster Sarell (Offensive Tackle, West Team #70) will decide between Washington and Stanford, while Jeffrey Okudah (Cornerback, West Team #1) looks like a lock to pick Ohio State, and Jamire Calvin (Wide receiver, West Team #13) looks bound for Nebraska.
