Purdue comes in a half-game behind the leaders in the Big Ten, having won four of their last five games, and is on a two-game home winning streak. The Boilermakers rank second in the country in assists as a team (19.8 per game) and first in the conference in shooting percentage (49.4%).

Purdue Big man Caleb Swanigan is one of the best players in the conference. He leads the nation in rebounds with 12.5 per game and is Purdue’s top scorer with 18.5 points per game.
Michigan State comes in on a two-game losing streak and 1.5 games out of the lead in the Big Ten, having lost three of their last four after starting conference play 3-0.
Head coach Tom Izzo called this week “a big week” for his young team as a home game with rival Michigan looms this weekend after the Purdue game.
The Spartans rank second in the conference in assists (17.8 per game). Miles Bridges leads the team with 15.1 points and 8.2 rebounds. Nick Ward ranks second with 13.4 points and 6.5 rebounds.
