With the Detroit Lions set to take on the New York Jets in week 2 of the 2017 preseason, here is all the important info you need for today’s game.

It may not be the regular season but Detroit Lions football is officially back in the Motor City to kick off the home portion of their preseason schedule. This one comes with something a little extra as it is the official unveiling of Ford Field’s renovations.

That $100 million project brought new and improved video and ribbon boards, new sounds system, updated suites and club seating and several new bar and social areas to enhance the overall stadium experience.

But that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty to draw the attention of Lions fans not in attendance tonight. After outclassing the Indianapolis Colts last week in the preseason opener, there is a lot to feel good about, but a lot ways yet to improve.

On the good side, rookie wide receiver Kenny Golladay lived up to the training camp hype by hauling in three very good catches – including two for touchdowns.

Players like offensive lineman Joe Dahl and tight end Michael Roberts will be looking for much better performances. Dahl struggled while looking more like a camp body than a fifth-round draft pick in his second year.

Roberts contributed in the  passing game against the Colts but his shaky ball security was on full display, dropping a pass, having a fumble reversed only because forward progress had been stopped and losing another as he was going out of bounds.

Here is all the important info you need for tonight’s game.
