Detroit Lions vs. Cleveland Browns: Start time, TV, radio, injury report

With the Detroit Lions set to take on the Cleveland Browns in week 10 of the 2017 NFL Season, here is all the important info you need for today’s game.

The Detroit Lions evened up their record at 4-4 thanks to last week’s Monday Night Football win over the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. As important as that was, it’s even more important for that game to serve as a springboard into the second half of the season.

With the first half of the Lions 2017 schedule set up as more difficult as the first, getting out of the first half at .500 means the Lions are in fine position to make a run to the playoffs, ideally through a division championship.

If that is to happen it will mean taking care of teams the Lions should beat while mixing in some wins over other playoff contenders. Fortunately for week 10, the Lions get a team squarely in the former category than the latter. The 0-8 Cleveland Browns start the second half of their season in hopes of not ending up matching the 2008 Lions as the NFL’s only 0-16 team. Meanwhile, the Lions will look to avoid matching the 2009 Lions for giving a team their only win of the season. It was eight years ago this month that the Rams came to Ford Field and knocked off the Lions for their only win of the season.

There is no comparison between these Lions and those Lions teams at the end of the last decade. Especially under Caldwell, the Lions have done a good job taking care of business in games against inferior competition. It is in games against superior competition that they’ve really struggled. The Browns most certainly fit in the “inferior” category.
