#3: Detroit Red Wings forward Robby Fabbri

One of the players who had quite the interesting 2020-21 season is Detroit Red Wings forward Robby Fabbri. He was a brilliant addition to the Red Wings, courtesy of the Yzerplan after really tapping into the scoring when he was acquired from the St. Louis Blues.

He earned a two-year extension with the Red Wings and then proceeded to struggle through his first season of that contract. What I mean by struggle is that he had a bout with COVID-19 and also spent time on the injury throughout the season.

But, when he was on the ice, he was getting lucky and finding ways to make things happen. Last season, Fabbri was able to log just 30 games due to his absences. However, he did manage ten goals and eight assists for 18 total points on the season.

The Red Wings should be expecting changes in the 2021-22 season so that he is able to be a much more well-rounded forward and a productive part of this team’s forward core. He was an anchor on the second line.

The hope should be for him to stay healthy and be the player he was in 2019, showing the scoring touch once again. I think he has it in him, and over an entire season, he will show it, providing he will remain healthy.
