Graham Glasgow

Graham Glasgow’s job may not be in immediate danger as it would cost more in dead money ($5.3 million) than to get rid of him for $2.125 million this spring. But he’ll need to rebound after a tough overall season when Morton comes to town.

Glasgow established himself as one of the strongest parts of the Lions’ offensive line early in his career, posting an overall PFF pass-blocking grade over 70 in three straight seasons from 2017 to 2019. While Glasgow signed a four-year, $44 million contract with the Broncos in free agency prior to the 2020 season, he spent just three years in Denver before being released after the 2022 season.

The 32-year-old had a solid return, posting a 74.9 overall grade and an 82.1 run-blocking grade for the Lions in 2023. But one year into a three-year, $20 million extension, Glasgow struggled, posting a career-low 49.8 pass-blocking grade and his lowest overall (57.2) and run-blocking (60.1) since his rookie season in 2016.

The Lions will probably give Glasgow another opportunity considering the investment they made last offseason. But he’ll have to earn anything after that coming off a disappointing year. If Glasgow doesn’t rebound, he could be somewhere else as soon as 2025 and it wouldn’t be surprising if the Lions looked for some competition behind him in next year’s draft.
