The Detroit Lions are in the midst of a four-game win streak and have one of the best offenses in the league. Although entering Week 6 with a 4-1 record gives plenty to celebrate, what's interesting is that the Lions have achieved their success without wideout Jameson Williams playing a major role.

While his coaches have raved about Williams' maturity and commitment to the team during his slow start, the receiver's latest comments appeared to indicate that he was holding back his true feelings.

"I don't got nothing to say about that, really. It's nothing to say about it," Williams said when asked about fans being worried about his attitude (h/t @KoryEWoods). "It's like, we go out and we win. It is what it is. We win. I don't really wanna say too much or speak on it."

Lions WR Jameson Williams Holds Back True Feelings

From the way this comment sounds, it appears that Williams isn't happy with how his production has unfolded through five weeks, but won't take any shots in his media session. No receiver is going to be happy if the ball isn't thrown their way, and that's been the case for Detroit's WR2, whose demeanor hints at his true feelings.

Williams has 11 catches for 223 receiving yards and one touchdown. A whopping 108 of those yards came in the Week 2 win over the Chicago Bears, as he has gone under 43 receiving yards in four of the five games in 2025. If nothing changes, he's on pace to finish the season with a 37-758-3 stat line in 17 games.

Considering that the Alabama product posted career-highs in catches (58), targets (91), receiving yards (1,001), and touchdowns (7) in 2024, Williams' 2025 performance is a major disappointment. His slow start is even worse considering that the Lions signed the 24-year-old playmaker to a three-year, $83 million extension in September, which keeps him signed in Detroit through the 2029 season.

Williams is one of the fastest playmakers in the league, and defenses are always going to be worried about that. That has led to more two-high safety looks, giving the cornerback help over the top against Williams. Although that hasn't benefitted the Lions' wideout personally, the production from the offense hasn't missed a beat.

The Lions are ranked sixth in the NFL in total offensive yards (365.0), 12th in passing offense (230.2), and first in scoring (34.8). They've poured in at least 34 points in four straight games, but they need to find a way to get Williams more involved. Hopefully, head coach Dan Campbell & Co. figure out that solution ahead of this weekend's battle with the Kansas City Chiefs.
