Ever since Myles Garrett officially requested a trade from the Cleveland Browns, fanbases around the league began to daydream about the possibility of their teams trading for the star defender. While the Browns haven't officially said publicly that they will trade him this offseason, the writing is on the wall for a team that finished 3-14 last season.

Among the fanbases clamoring for a Garrett trade are the Lions. Garrett has revealed his desire to play for a Super Bowl contender, and Detroit certainly gives him that opportunity.

In fact, on Wednesday, he was asked if he had any thoughts on playing for the Lions by Detroit Free Press' Dave Birkett. He politely said, "Not yet". It is unclear whether that means anything but it's clear that Detroit as a city, the media, and the fans are very much interested in acquiring Garrett.

On Thursday, during the NFL Honors night, these rumors reached new heights. NFL Network's national reporter Steve Wyche posted a photo of Garrett talking to Jared Goff and Aidan Hutchinson. This immediately fueled another round of speculation on social media.

Whether Goff and Hutchinson were actively recruiting Garrett is unclear, but the three stars are obviously in the middle of a fun conversation.

Regardless of whether the Lions stars were trying to recruit Garrett or not, there is only so much they can do. Garrett is not a free agent and where he ends up depends on the trade package the Browns choose to accept. Of course, the Browns will presumably do right by one of the best players in franchise history and not send Garrett somewhere he doesn't want to be. The star defender could even ask for a specific destination. Whether that would be the Lions right now remains to be seen.

Seeing Hutchinson and Garrett together is especially exciting for Lions fans. That duo would immediately be one of the best pass-rush partnerships the league has ever seen. A defensive line of Hutchinson, Garrett, Alim McNeill, and DJ Reader would arguably be the NFL's best, taking the Lions to another level on that end of the field.
