The Detroit Lions won the second game of the season against the Packers on Thursday Night Football to improve to 12-1 for the season. One of the biggest talking points around the game was the beef between Kerby Joseph and Packers tight end Tucker Kraft.

Before the TNF showdown, Kraft said that Joseph had "taken some of [his] brothers out of the game" and talked about how much he would enjoy it if he got a chance to get his hands on him. Understandably, tensions rose before kickoff, and there was a heated exchange after the warmups when the teams were heading into the tunnel.

Kraft finished the game with three catches, 41 yards, and a touchdown, and the two players came together on a play late in the third quarter. After the game, Joseph rightfully relished trolling Kraft, saying, "You talking about mac 'n cheese Kraft? I don’t know who that boy is."

On Monday, the second-year seemingly dropped the beef once and for all. Per The Athletic's Matt Schneidman, the Packers playmaker said that he was dropping the beef and was not going to talk about Joseph or any of his opponents again.

The latest remarks by Kraft proved what Joseph was talking about after the game. He replied to a question about Kraft, "To be honest, people just talk crazy on the internet. When they see me, they ain’t doing none of that".

Joseph is enjoying being a new villain in Green Bay. After the game, he was wearing a Milwaukee Bucks jersey signed by Damian Lillard while talking trash about the Packers.

For the time being, Joseph and the Lions have earned bragging rights against the Packers. They have won six of the last seven matchups against their bitter rivals.

Amidst all the drama, Joseph is having the best season of his career and heading towards his first Pro Bowl and possibly All-Pro nod. Through 13 games, he has seven interceptions while allowing a 42.4% completion and only one touchdown when targeted. He has arguably been the best safety in the league, as demonstrated by his 91.0 defensive grade on PFF.

His opponents may criticize him or accuse him of being "dirty" all they want, but Joseph's impact on the field is undeniable. And any team with Super Bowl aspirations will have to go through him in the postseason.
