The Detroit Lions won 11 straight games and sit atop the NFC with a 12-1 record. Due to the Eagles and the Vikings' winning streaks of their own, the Lions can't take their foot off the gas in their chase for the first-round bye and the home-field advantage throughout the postseason.

With that goal in mind, the Lions are about to face their most difficult opponent of the year and their toughest game left on the schedule. Hosting the 10-3 Buffalo Bills on Sunday, the Lions are making special preparations for the showdown.

The Lions announced earlier in the week that they were going to wear the fan-favorite black-and-blue uniforms. The black jersey and blue helmet combination will be worn for the second time this season. The only other time the Lions wore that combo was against the Seahawks in Week 4.

The blackout will extend to Ford Field as well. The Lions are going all-in on the "Motor City Muscle" look and turning the stadium black for the Week 15 clash. The team released a video on its official social media account about the work being done on the field. It includes a black outline around the word "Lions" in the end zone and a black Lions logo in the midfield.

Lions News: Ford Field Will Have Brand New Look in Week 15

The fresh paint was received with a ton of optimism by the fans. The team embracing a new look in a new era of Lions football is fitting. Detroit is the best team in the NFL and the Super Bowl favorite. Now, their home field will look as intimidating as the team itself.

The Lions are 6-1 at home this season, their only loss coming against Tampa Bay in the second week of the season. Since then, Detroit has looked unstoppable at home even though their last two wins against the Bears and the Packers came with a total of six-point margins.

On FanDuel Sportsbook, the Lions are +280 favorites to win the Super Bowl, followed by the Chiefs, the Eagles, and the Bills at +500, +550, and +650, respectively. Beating the Bills on Sunday will not only give Detroit a boost in those odds but will also send a message to its potential Super Bowl opponent heading into the postseason.
