The Detroit Lions were one of the best teams in the league in 2024. After losing multiple coaches and players over the past couple of months, the attention is all about building this roster for 2025 and beyond.
In free agency, the Lions made a big splash by adding CB D.J. Reed on a three-year, $48 million deal. They have also re-signed linebackers Anthony Pittman, Zeke Turner, and Derrick Barnes. That includes Alex Anzalone and Jack Campbell on the roster.
Despite the abundance of talent at the position, the Lions are reportedly interested in Buffalo LB Shaun Dolac after his impressive pro day, per Colton Edwards.
According to a source, three teams are intrigued with Shaun Dolac after his impressive Pro Day:

Lions Are Interested in LB Shaun Dolac
University at Buffalo had its Pro Day on March 25 with 25 teams from the NFL and CFL in attendance. A lot of scouts were there to see Dolac in person and he had a lights-out performance. He ran a 4.55 40-yard dash, which would have been the sixth fastest for his position at the combine.
He also had 25 bench press reps, and that would have been the third highest among linebackers. In addition, he had a 35.5" vertical, a 4.21 shuttle time, and a 6.94 3-cone.
Shaun Dolac is a LB prospect in the 2025 draft class. He scored an unofficial 9.00 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 292 out of 2920 LB from 1987 to 2025.

Dolac was a walk-on for the Bulls before developing into one of the best defensive players in the country. This past season, he led the nation in total tackles (168), along with six sacks, five interceptions, and five pass deflections. He posted a 91.9 overall grade, 90.3 run-defense grade, and 92.6 coverage grade per PFF.
He is a player who has a nose for the football. Dolac is the type of player that Campbell loves due to his physicality and constant desire to get better.
His impressive showing at his pro day put any doubters to rest, wondering if he's an NFL player. The Buffalo Bills and Las Vegas Raiders also expressed their interest in Dolac. The New York native could be an ideal target for Detroit on Day 3 of the NFL Draft and give them another force in the middle of the defense.
