Well Michigan football fans, it’s the last week of the 2014 regular season! While it was certainly not the season that any of us had hoped for, a win today against the Ohio State Buckeyes would definitely remove some of the sour taste left from a tumultuous season.

Few rivalries in college football can compare to that of Michigan-Ohio, and with the Buckeyes at 10-1 there is nothing the Wolverines, 5-6, would love to do more than to de-rail the post season aspirations of their Big Ten competitors.
Off the field, the Michigan Wolverines are preparing to start a coaching search. Current head coach, Brady Hoke is all but out of a job and the rumors have been flying around as to who may be his replacement. If the Wolverines cannot pull off the upset today and reach the bowl eligible six-win mark, the search will likely start next week.

These two teams appear to be miles apart at first glance, but you never know what could happen after kick off. For Michigan to pull off a win today, their pass defense will need to show up in a big way. Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett has emerged as the best passer in the Big Ten and could torch the U-M secondary if their not on their A-game this afternoon. If the Wolverines can force a few turnovers, they’ll at least have a fighting chance.
The task is a tall one to say the least, and the Michigan Wolverines have just one win in the series since 2004. OSU won in a 42-41 thriller last year, and I wouldn’t be too surprised if todays match-up proves to be an exiting one as well!
