Just when you thought spring had sprung, its Christmas all over again for Detroit Lions fans and the rest of the NFL.  Fans of every NFL team everywhere in the world will be watching on TV or online tonight to see how their team’s schedule stakes up against the rest of the league as the entire NFL schedule is released tonight on NFL Network and ESPN.

More from Detroit Lions

Monday, Thursday and Sunday night schedules will also be revealed along with the intense rivalry games fans circle their calendar for.

You can bet the Lions schedule will be more of a gauntlet than it was last season.  Detroit’s 11-5 finish and playoff berth will turn up the difficulty on the strength of schedule.  This could mean trouble for a team that lost much of its defensive line in free agency this offseason.

The Lions will play in London against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 8 which should guarantee an advantageous week 9 bye week.  Hopefully the Lions will catch a break on the road with early trips to Green Bay and Chicago instead of having to face those teams in the cold of winter.

Could this be the season the Lions are able to win the NFC North get a bye in the first round of the playoffs and move on to the first Superbowl in franchise history?

The schedule could play a big roll in the Lions season this year as they try to return to the playoffs.  As the schedule is revealed you won’t want to miss a thing.  Log on to Detroit Jock City at 8:00pm when the schedules are released and stay logged on as our experts dissect and analyze the effect it will have on your Detroit Lions season.
