LB Devin Bush, Jr.

Linebacker is the only position Harbaugh must fret over.

Michigan lost four linebackers who started most of the time last season.

MIKE LB Desmond Morgan (71 tackles), SAM LB James Ross III (35), WILL LB Joe Bolden (83) and BUCK LB Royce Jenkins-Stone (40) all graduated, so Harbaugh’s linebacking corps will be loaded with inexperience.

Ben Gedeon should inherit the MIKE position while Michael McCray battles Noah Furbush for WILL.

That leaves the SAM position open, and 6-0, 215 lb early enrollee Devin Bush, Jr. will try to latch on to it this spring.

While he will likely move to WILL or MIKE when his frame fills out, Bush may take advantage of his quickness and blitzing skills from outside.

"“When you’re at a T-shirt camp and everyone’s out there trying to be track stars, he may not be your first pick,” 247sports director of scouting Barton Simmons says. “But as soon as the pads come on, and the lights turn on for a Friday night or Saturday afternoon, I think that’s where he shines. “I think he’s really one of the top in-game linebackers in the southeast. He’s a kid who’s best when the pads are on.”"

Michigan has two other linebacker commits, Elysee Mben-Bosse and Dytarious Johnson. They will both arrive sometime this summer if they sign their National Letter of Intent.

Odds against starting: 4 to 1
