The Detroit Lions and the rest of the teams around the NFL are putting the finishing touches on player evaluations with the 2016 NFL Draft fast approaching. Throughout the process, Detroit Jock City has featured a series of seven-round mock drafts for the Detroit Lions to get a feel for how their draft couple play out.

Because this series has been about playing scenarios rather than necessarily being about what the Lions should or even would do, each version has purposefully started off with a different position as the first round pick.

First it was Alabama middle linebacker Reggie Ragland. Then it was Baylor defensive tackle Andrew Billings. Version three led off with Ohio State offensive tackle Taylor Decker. The fourth seven-round mock led off with Clemson defensive end Shaq Lawson.

You can catch up on previous versions if you missed them over the last few weeks or if you want to see them again to do some comparison:
Version 1.0
Version 2.0
Version 3.0
Version 4.0

Now let’s get on with version 5.0, this time starting off with a center in the first round.
