The Michigan Wolverines improved to 4-0 today after a 28-10 victory over Purdue. Who gets the game ball for the win? Read and find out!

The Michigan Wolverines traveled to Purdue and once again had a up and down game. The story for this season has been good defense, bad offense. For at least the first half of the game today the story was the same. Wilton Speight struggled once again until he was injured late in the first quarter and replaced by John O’Korn.

The hit on Speight was borderline dirty in my opinion but no penalty was called on the play. Purdue had a few dirty hits as John O’ Korn was hit late as well.

The Boilermakers led 10-7 at the half before Michigan took control in the second half. Today the game ball will go to John O’ Korn. For the first time in four weeks, an offensive player gets the game ball.

O’Korn came in and after throwing a interception, rebounded very nicely, throwing for almost 300 yards and a touchdown. He completed 18 of his 26 passes and Michigan definitely has a quarterback controversy now.

The Michigan defense was very good again. Purdue didn’t convert a third down the entire game and got shutout in the second half.

With Michigan having a bye week next week, it will be interesting to see if Speight will be healthy enough to face Michigan State on October 7th. Even if Speight is healthy, I think O’Korn showed enough today to be the starter for October 7th.

Chris Evans gets an honorable mention for todays game. He scored two touchdowns and rushed for 97 yards.

Is O’Korn the answer? Only time will tell but with how poorly Speight has played, I believe O’Korn deserves a chance to start against Sparty on October 7th.

Do you agree with my choice of O’Korn for the game ball? If not let us know in the comments!
