The Michigan Wolverines kept the Little Brown Jug in Ann Arbor for another year. They beat the Golden Gophers 33-10 on Saturday.

The Michigan Wolverines won their second straight game on Saturday as they dominated the Golden Gophers. After kicking off an hour later due to weather, the Wolverines led 13-7 after the first quarter. After that Michigan scored 20 straight points for the 33-7 win.

There is no shortage of players who deserve the game ball after last night’s win. Brandon Peters was good last night but didn’t have to throw much thanks to Michigan’s fantastic rushing game. Three time game ball winner Karan Higdon rushed for over 200 yards again and Chris Evans had 191 rushing yards. Both Higdon and Evans each had two touchdowns.

This Michigan team has been a different team since replacing John O’Korn with Brandon Peters. Peters didn’t have to throw a lot against Minnesota but the throws he did make were on target. He also threw a touchdown pass to Sean McKeon on the first possession of the game for Michigan.

But none of those three players got the game ball for last nights win. Khaleke Hudson is my choice for the game ball. Hudson had 13 total tackles including two sacks. Hudson had 6.5 tackles for loss in what was a career game for him.

Michigan has one more “easy” game before they end the season at Wisconsin and against Ohio State. Michigan travels to Maryland next week to face the Terrapins.
