Michigan Football: Game Ball for Week 12 loss to Wisconsin
By Mike Rizzo
The Michigan Wolverines lost to Wisconsin today 24-10. This game didn’t have a lot of positives but one player deserves the game ball today.
The Michigan Wolverines had their three game winning streak broken today after a 24-10 loss to Wisconsin. Not a lot went right for the Wolverines today. They actually led 10-7 in the third quarter but things went south quickly after that.
The Badgers would end up scoring the next 17 points and cruise to a 24-10 win. Michigan ends the 2017 regular season next Saturday against Ohio State.
The game really turned when Brandon Peters left the game with an injury in the third. Peters had to be carted off and most likely is out for the Ohio State game next week.
That game was going to be difficult anyway but now without Peters that game seems hopeless for the Wolverines.
For my game ball though, I didn’t have a lot of choices. My game ball today goes to Quinn Nordin.
Nordin has struggled since the Penn State game as he missed his last three field goal attempts. Nordin made a field goal today which gave the Michigan the lead briefly.
That field goal eased a lot of fear that Michigan fans had about Nordin. It also gave Nordin some confidence heading into the Ohio State game next week.
After having a shouting match with Harbaugh last week in which Harbaugh said “start making them”, Nordin responded well.
